Here are some top questions that customers ask about BillEase at checkout:
  1. What is BillEase?
BillEase is a buy now, pay later app that allows you to pay for your purchases in easy bi-weekly or monthly installments either interest-free or interest-bearing even without a debit or credit card!
 
  1. How does BillEase work?
BillEase is your online and hassle-free shopping partner that allows you to shop and pay at a later time. All you have to do is to submit an application form, wait for our approval. Once approved, an initial credit limit will be established, which can be used to purchase from our 800+ merchant partners.
3. Who can use BillEase?
In order to have an account with BillEase, you must:
・Live in the Philippines
・Be at least 18 years old
・Have a valid government ID
・Have verifiable mobile number and email address
 
If you are at least 18 years old and have a stable source of income, you are welcome to apply! In addition, we will also ask for your latest proof of income, proof of billing and one valid government ID to verify the information.
 
Examples of accepted proof of income: payslips, screenshots of bank transaction history, Paypal transaction history, remittance slips, etc.
 
Examples of accepted proof of billing: Meralco bill (preferred), credit card bill, water bill, cable TV bill, post paid plan bill, etc.
 
  1. I do not have a proof of billing under my name. Can I still apply?
Yes, it is okay if the proof of billing is not under your name. As long as it is recent and has your home address, it will work.
 
  1. How do I sign up?
Easy - simply download our app from Apple App Store or Google Play Store and sign up for a BillEase account. Once approved, an initial credit limit will be established, which can be used to purchase from our 1,000+ merchant partners.
 
You can sign up or during the checkout process. For the initial sign up, BillEase will just need you to fill out the form and your ID. You’ll know if you are approved in less than 5 mins.
 
  1. I am a freelancer, can I still apply?
Yes! Freelancers are welcome to apply, as long as you meet the requirements. Please prepare proof of of source of income (such as PayPal transaction history, Upwork Certificate of Employment, bank transaction history, etc.) as part of the application process.
 
  1. Do I need a credit card to apply?
No, you do not need a credit card to be eligible for our installment plan.
 
  1. How will I know if my application is approved?
We don’t want to keep you waiting; we will send you an e-mail as soon as your application is approved. On the other hand, we will also notify you in case of non-approval through e-mail
 
  1. How long is your processing time?
Fast - We want you to enjoy your shopping experience as soon as possible. Approval can be immediate or up to one day depending on your submitted documents. The key is submitting complete and clear documents and valid IDs.
 
Just make sure you submit your online application before 6:00 PM because any applications beyond that will be considered as next day submission.
 
All applications submitted after 8:00 AM on a Sunday will be processed together with all the Monday applications on Tuesday. This allows our credit team to fully verify the information you provided and make better credit evaluation for everybody.
 
  1. Why do I have to pay an upfront payment?
Depending on the merchant’s installment program or your total purchase, BillEase requires a partial upfront payment which is automatically calculated at checkout. This down/first payment allows BillEase to finance the rest of your payments and stretch your funds.
 
  1. What is BillEase Limit Boost?
Once your application is approved, you will receive a credit limit. When buying from our partner shops, BillEase can boost your credit limit and enable you to purchase items that are higher than your credit limit.
 
  1. How do I request a refund?
Refund depends on the refund and cancellation policy of the merchant. Contact the merchant if you wish to have your purchase cancelled or refunded. If your refund request is granted, your loan will be automatically cancelled and we will also process the refund of your down payment/first payment if applicable.
 
  1. Will I be notified before my installment is due?
We want you to be on top of your payments. BillEase notifies customers with payment reminders via SMS and email before each payment is due.
 
  1. How do I pay my installments?
You can pay your BillEase installments through direct debit, Coins.ph, GCash, over-the-counter, and bank transfer to our accounts. All payment information is available on your web or mobile app.
 
We will send you a reminder in your e-mail few days before your due date. Here are 5 ways to pay for your BillEase installment
  • Direct Transfer to Coins.ph
Click your payment request. You will be redirected to several available payment channels, among them is coins.ph.
 
Follow Coin’s instructions on settling your payment. Once done, you will receive a payment confirmation and your payment should reflect to your BillEase account.
  • Pay via GCash
Login to your BillEase account and click Pay Now. Choose GCash (under E-wallet) as your payment method. You will notice a small bank fee, which will be included in your total amount due. Review and confirm your payment. This method instantly books your repayment. No need to send us your proof of payment.
 
  • Linking your Online Bank Account
Link your Unionbank and BPI bank account and pay BillEase directly straight from your BillEase account. Just choose among our list of payment partners, such as coins.ph, BDO, BPI, and Security Bank.
 
Payments via linked online bank accounts will be booked automatically. No need to send us your proof of payment.
  1. Is there a penalty for late payment?
Yes, it’s important to notify BillEase to avoid late payment fees. If you are having financial difficulties and cannot make payments on time, please contact us and we will try to work out a payment schedule that works for you.
 
  1. Can I trust BillEase?
BillEase is a brand of First Digital Finance Corporation, a fully-licensed fintech company regulated by both the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP). It’s also a registered PIP/PIC under the National Privacy Commission (NPC).
 
3. I pay early?
If you prefer paying via payment requests (coins.ph, 7-Eleven, M Lhuillier, and Cebuana Lhuillier): Simply send us an email at pay@billease.ph and let us know the amount you would like to pay for. We will then send you a payment request, which you can use to make an early payment.
 
Note: payment requests for early payments are only valid within the day.
If you prefer paying via bank transfer: You can make early payments directly to BillEase's bank accounts. Afterwards, send a copy of your deposit slip or a screenshot of your transfer to pay@billease.ph and wait for our confirmation.
 
4. What if I cannot pay on the due date?
If you are having financial difficulties and cannot make payments on time, please contact us and we will try to work out a payment schedule that works for you. Our only request is that you inform us before or on the due date in order to avail of a discounted charge.
 
5. What are the benefits of using my BillEase account and paying my
installments on time?
There are many perks that customers can experience! You can:
    •  Have a higher chance for a credit limit increase Have a higher chance of availing cash loans
    • Build your credit score (we submit relevant data to credit bureaus) Continue using BillEase for all your wants and needs!
 
6. Can I re-avail? 
Of course! As long as you have paid off your current installment plan, you can re-avail for another one immediately. What's more, loyal customers with good payment records can enjoy added features, such as higher credit limit, longer installment terms, cash loans, and other cool perks.

BillEase reminders
Wag magpa-SCAM, Billies!
Some scammers are pretending to be BillEase agents or staff and are calling/messaging customers who
posted their loan concerns in our FB group or other social media. Be careful and vigilant!
🛑 Be careful when posting your contact details online. Scammers have ways in getting your mobile
number and email address such as by visiting your Facebook profile page. When you need to provide your account details, make sure to do it privately. And if you have account-related concerns or questions, best is to email us at info@billease.ph.
🛑 We will NEVER ask you to change your BillEase app PIN as well as your PIN for other apps such as GCash, Coins.ph, etc. The same way that we will never ask you to provide your log in details, password, authentication code, or OTP.
🛑 When someone ask you to change your contact details for any reason such as so your credit limit will increase or cash loan will be activated in your account, DON'T. They will steal your account and your money. Our staff will NEVER ask you to add their mobile or email your contact details.
🛑 Our staff can't help you increase credit limit, activate cash loans, multi-loans. These are system-generated and our staff does not have access to it. Anyone who promises to unlock these features is trying to scam you.
